Friends of OB is a collaboration of the Ocean Beach MainStreet Association and The Peninsula Alliance. 

Contributions made to Friends of OB will support the OBMA's Clean & Safe Program with the mission to educate merchants and community members and promote a safe and clean environment throughout the Ocean Beach business districts.

The above numbers are from year ending 2019. Numbers are provided to the OBMA by our Maintenance Assessment District (MAD) Contractors.

GOALS

Security Team

Our goal is have our private Security Team in Ocean Beach seven days per week. Approximate cost is $12K per month.

Banners

Each year we design and install new banners along Newport Ave and Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Approximate cost is $4K per year.

Sidewalk Power-Washing

Our goal is to power-wash the 4800, 4900 and 5000 block of Newport Ave each month. Approximate cost is $1,800 per month.

The OBMA currently funds one block per month through the MAD.
